In this video, Dave Andres talks about how to use PowerPoint effectively.
• First of all, he tells us to go to the start button on your computer’s screen and click on the Microsoft Office power point button which will open PowerPoint for you.
• You’ll see a blank slide on the screen, and the first thing he tells us to do is to put your name and your topic on that slide which will be the title slide for your presentation.
• You move to the next slide, in which you will outline the main topics you are going to cover in your presentation so that the audience knows what you are going to talk about in your presentation.
• He talks about creating a title slide for each main topic that you put on the outline slide so that the audience knows when you are going to switching sections.
• Dave tells us that we can use different themes for our power point. We can click on the design tab; select a theme that you like to change the style of your presentation.
• He mentions that we should choose colors that stand out so that it’s easier for the audience to see what you wrote on the slide.
• At the end, Dave states that you can turn off your mouse, simply by starting your slideshow and press Ctrl and H button on your keyboard. This will turn off your mouse, and it will not be visible on the screen when you’ll be going through present
I find this video very helpful because it gives good guide lines and tips to use power point effectively .
